Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Airport → Anuradhapura

Welcome at CMB. Drive to Anuradhapura (approx. 4 hours).
Check into your hotel. In the afternoon, begin exploring the Anuradhapura Sacred City. Overnight in Anuradhapura.

Day 2 - Anuradhapura → Polonnaruwa

(Optional) Morning visit to Mihintale.
Drive to Polonnaruwa (approx. 2 hours). En route, (Optional) stop in Habarana for a village tour.
Afternoon: Explore the Polonnaruwa Ancient City. Overnight in Polonnaruwa/Habarana.

Day 3 - Polonnaruwa → Sigiriya

Morning: (Optional) Jeep safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park (Habarana).
Afternoon: Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
(Optional) Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. Overnight in Sigiriya.

Day 4 - Sigiriya → Kandy

Drive to Kandy (approx. 2-3 hours). Visit a Spice Garden en route.
Evening: Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic & watch a Cultural Dance Show. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 5 - Kandy → Nuwara Eliya

Drive to Nuwara Eliya (approx. 2.5 hours).
Visit a Tea Plantation & Factory and Ramboda Falls.
Explore "Little England." Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6 - Nuwara Eliya → Arugam Bay

Today is a long travel day. Enjoy the scenic drive from the hills to the East Coast (approx. 5-6 hours).
Arrive in Arugam Bay, check into your hotel, and relax on the beach. Overnight in Arugam Bay.

Day 7 - Arugam Bay

Full day to enjoy Arugam Bay. Relax, surf at the main point, or explore nearby beaches.
(Optional) Early morning safari to Kumana National Park. Overnight in Arugam Bay.

Day 8 - Arugam Bay → Yala

Morning: Enjoy a final surf.
Drive south to Yala/Tissamaharama (approx. 4-5 hours).
Late afternoon: Enjoy a jeep safari at Yala National Park. Overnight in Yala.

Day 9 - Yala → Weligama

Drive to Weligama (approx. 3-4 hours).
Check into your beach hotel. Relax or surf at Weligama Beach.
(Optional) See the iconic Stilt Fishermen. Overnight in Weligama.

Day 10 - Weligama → Bentota

Morning: (Optional, seasonal) Whale Watching from Mirissa.
Drive to Bentota (approx. 1.5-2 hours). En route, stop to explore the Galle Dutch Fort.
Check into your Bentota hotel. Enjoy the beach or (Optional) a Madu River boat safari. Overnight in Bentota.

Day 11 - Bentota → Colombo

Enjoy a relaxing morning on the beach.
Drive to Colombo (approx. 2 hours).
Check into your Colombo hotel and enjoy an evening city tour. Overnight in Colombo.

Day 12 - Colombo → Airport

Enjoy a final Sri Lankan breakfast and last-minute shopping.
Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) for your departure.
